The Balance ProtocolTM is a systemized approach to application of Functional Medicine in clinical care that provides a powerful framework for the clinician. This program has been designed to teach clinicians how to achieve optimal health through restoring nutrients, removing toxicities, balancing hormones and fortifying the mind and the body.
The Balance ProtocolTM Preceptorship Program is a 3-day classroom style training that centers on patient education, functional laboratory assessment, and evidence based intervention. Program includes direct patient management and discussion with Dr Anthony Beck, founder of the Balance ProtocolTM.
Program Objectives
1. Understanding the philosophy of Functional Medicine
2. Philosophy and application of the Balance ProtocolTM
3. Use patient centered diagnosis and apply the concepts of Antecedents, Triggers, & Mediators in assessment and work-up.
4. Interpretation of laboratory tests (Micro-Nutrient Testing, LPP+, heavy metals challenge, hormone labs,organic acids testing, comprehensive digestive analysis) and prescribing therapy for men and women of all ages, based on the individual's history, symptoms, examination, and lab results as regards:
A) Dietary prescriptions
B) Nutritional supplements
C) Detoxification
D) Hormonal Interventions
E) Exercise prescription
F) Clinical application of Enzymes, Probiotics, Amino Acids, Herbs, Homeopathics, Acupuncture and much more
5. Develop superior skills and competence in the treatment of patients with complex chronic disease using Nutrition, Lifestyle, Nutraceutical and
Pharmaceutical modalities.
6. Develop protocols for each aspect of this model and utilize turn key operational forms to establish a practice utilizing the Balance Protocol.
